For
Sunjin's Printed PET Film application, the metal
sheet must be coated with proper base
paint.
Without base paint coat onto metal
sheet, Sunjin's Printed PET Film can not
adhere.
Generally, a thermosetting paint
coating based on high polymer polyester or polyurethane
resins have a excellent adhesion with Sunjin's
Printed PET Film. We recommend this type of paint for base
coat. The paint can be coated on the surface of metal in 1
or 2 coat system according to application fild and
facility.
If there is already available
paint system (high polymer polyester or polyurethane
resins) from your paint supplier or base metal supplier, the
adhesion between paint and Sunjin's Printed PeT
film must be checked prior to application because the
paint formulation somewhat varies with paint maker. When the
adhesion of available paint is not enough, it is necessary
to modify the paint formulation in cooperation with your
supplier.
If needed, Sunjin can recommand
the base paint for you. Many Korean paint maker have
already developed and commercially produced the base paint
for Sunjin's Printed PET Film
lamination.
The selection of optimum base
paint is very important for the best performance of
Sunjin's Printed PET Film laminated metal
sheet.
